It gives me great pleasure to welcome you to the Centre for Logistics and Transport Studies (CELTRAS), University of Port Harcourt, a distinguished Centre established to address a critical need within Nigeria and Africa at large: the development of a new generation of highly skilled professionals in the dynamic fields of logistics, supply chain, and transport management.
As the Director-General of NIMASA and Chairman of the CELTRAS Governing Board, I am proud to stand with the leadership, staff, and students of this Centre as we work together to strengthen the backbone of our national and regional economies. Transport and logistics are more than just the movement of people and goods; they are the arteries of trade, innovation, and sustainable development. They connect communities, enable industries to thrive, and contribute significantly to national productivity and global competitiveness.
At CELTRAS, we are fully aware that the success of our transport and logistics systems depends on the quality of minds and hands that plan, manage, and drive them. This is why the Centre of Excellence is deeply committed to providing a rigorous, practical, and forward-looking education at the Postgraduate Diploma, Master’s, and Doctoral levels.
